If employers you just interviewed with don’t contact you within 1/4 the time of when they told you they would, then you pretty much know you didn’t get the job. You’ve been slotted onto their low-priority list to contact.

I think there’s always next time. And another industry. I’m not as phased as I thought I would be…guess I’m seasoned to rejection in this marketing world now and don’t take anything personally. I’ll just think of three good things about the situation:

1: It’s a bright, sunny day, and I’m about to go to the beach.
2: This means I can still go to New York in November.
3: I won’t have to have an awkward conversation with Tim about this.

4: I can still apply to advertising jobs in LA and NYC.
5: Got great interview practice in a short period of time.
6: Got hyped up to see a big, corporate office.
7: I know that I’m qualified to interview in the upper echelon now.
