1. Back up computer on external HD – not quite trusting of the cloud yet…
2. Deposit Whistler check
3. Buy wooden spoon and new cereal bowl
4. Build a worthy portfolio page and update works
5. Get ahead/caught up with work — if I can sit idly next week, I’d be so happy

Oblivious

How have I been so blind…

To the hole in my couch!! Who the heck kicked in the side of the arm rest… must have been one of the dozens of couch surfers I’ve been harboring. Not any real couch surfers, mind you. There’s just been a countless number of people who’ve spent the night on this thing that I can’t even begin to narrow down a single suspect.

Urgh. I wonder when this happened? Ah well. I suppose it makes for a funny story. Can’t believe I didn’t notice it sooner.

Happy Birthday to Me

I’m 25 percent complete with my life, assuming I’m going to live to be 100. And like many of my peers, I’m feeling a bit of a quarter-life crisis. In reflection, I feel like I’ve accomplished a lot but not enough. S’pose it’s in our nature to never be satisfied with what we got.

Have you ever felt so trapped and frustrated for not being able to attain what you strive to achieve? I guess that’s me right now. No amount of leisure, vacation, luxury, or materials can compensate for my want of …”more.” Whatever that means.

Why is it I write all these introspective, depressing entries on my birthday. Can’t I just be complacent with the status quo? I’d love to experience the day I feel like that again. That’d be the perfect present.
