Another lacking update

Just realized. Here in Seattle, I just hang. I don’t really bond. Who have I met in the past year who I’ve really sat and had a real conversation with? Who have I really opened up to? Actually, I can think of one person. But she burned me good.

Old quote that I admire

If a man is called to be a street sweeper, he should sweep streets as Michelangelo painted, or Beethoven composed music, or Shakespeare wrote poetry. He should sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will pause to say, here lives a great street sweeper who did his job well.

Furia de La Niña

Minus that Snopocalypse episode, La Niña has been pretty tame with our weather this year. Sure, it’s colder than last year, but we aren’t getting the extreme end of things like I expected. I keep checking the weather forecast to find 15 straight days of partly sunny / rain / partly sunny / rain. How boring.

On the bright side, all this rain equals snow in the mountains. Good for snowboarding, even though I go so infrequently.

New sheets

My new red sheets make my room look like some type of porn den or bordello. Uurrghh what was I thinking, OR was this subconsciously my intention all along haha.

Wongdoody is hiring

There was a time when I would have jumped at the opportunity to apply for a position at Wongdoody. Now I see that they are hiring for an Assistant Account Executive, and after reading the job qualifications, I find that I fit the bill precisely.

Too bad I can’t leave where I am. It isn’t so easy to just jump ship. Opportunities never stare you directly in the face. Nothing is ever delivered to you on a silver platter. Ah well. This just gives me time to look for more jobs in New York. I am so ready to move (I reiterate).
