I just calculated my grade in math…
I’ll have to struggle to even pass.

Better start raising another $350 to retake the course.

Ew I loathe chain letter things but this one got me thinking of the good ol’ days.
Aww I feel freaking old. Yeah childhood. I want my childhood back.

Remember back…

Before the Internet or Text messaging…

Before Sidekicks & Ipods

Before Playstation2 or X-BOX

Before the 5 hours of homework you put off every night…

When you rented VHS taps.. not DVDs

When gas was $0.95 a gallon & Caller ID was a new thing…

When we recorded stuff on VCRs & paid $3.50 for a movie…

When we called the radio station to request songs to hear off our WALKMANS!!!

***Way back…

When getting high was swinging on the swingset

When $5 seemed like a million, and another dollar a Miracle.

When you begged to go to McDonalds, for dinner…EVERYDAY.

When Toys r Us overuled the “mall”

***Go back to the time when…

nobody had cable & people watched THE BOX on channel 25 & called & paid to watch music videos!!!!

Decisions were made by going “eeny-meeny-miney-moe”

Mistakes were corrected by simply exclaiming, “do over!”

“Race issue” meant arguing about who ran the fastest.

Money issues were handled by whoever was the banker in “monopoly”

It wasn’t odd to have two or three “best” friends.

Being old, referred to anyone over 20.

The chance to skate as a couple at the local roller rink was like winning the lottery….

The worst thing you could catch from the opposite sex was cooties.

When someone made u mad u would tell them you were going to sue them

Nobody was prettier than Mom

Nobody was cooler than Dad

Scrapes and bruises were kissed and made better

It was a big deal to finally be tall enough to ride the “big people” rides at the fair…

Spinning around, getting dizzy and falling down was cause for giggles.

When playing nintendo was the hardest thing ever.

When ninja turtles ruled the world.

If you can remember most or all of these,
then you have LIVED IN THE 90’s!!!

Post this to your bulletin if you remember these days, these days when you had a blast being a kid!

“I TRIPLE dog dare you!!”

No need for elaborations. Simple bullets will do.

  • I learned how to properly wear a scarf.
  • I’ve been enveloping myself in scary movies.
  • School is kicking my butt.
  • My headphones are broken.
  • A special day is coming up but no one seems to care.
  • I don’t either.
  • I’m missing home.
  • Somehow excited about Fall Rally? Haha…
  • The weeks are passing by faster.
  • I saw Doom. It was actually a good movie.
  • I’m aching a spiritual renewal (some would be surprised).
  • I think I’ll pray in my own way.
  • Life is dull, challenging, exhausting…
  • …..All contradictions of eachother which make up a complex me.

One minute I feel as if I’m finally adapting to what life has thrown my way.
Then in an instant, my memories catch up and remind me of my isolation.

But there is a way around this…
(Yes I know. I hate these vague entries too. This one’s just for my own reference.)
