Tell me about yourself

I figure since I give the same pitch over and over, I might as well write it down to make a record of it for future use. Here goes (in its most semi-colloquial format):

I graduated in 2009 with a degree in marketing from the University of Washington.

Since then, I’ve interned at a small PR firm called Brandsoul Communications where I’ve written press releases, pitch letters, and done a lot of research for small start-up businesses and consumer goods like DRY Soda.

After that, I am also a part-time Account Executive at TD Wang, a multicultural advertising agency. Here I’ve really been able to get my hands into other aspects of the marketing world ranging from event planning, media planning/buying, working with designers, and of course PR. I assist the PR Director in pitching to diversity publications.

Although I’ve gotten a taste of a lot of aspects of marketing, I really have to say that I excel at PR. One of my greatest strengths is my writing, I love learning about new things, and I love sharing what I learn to – essentially – everyone. Communicating overall is something that I am really passionate about. Why not make a career out of something you really enjoy. And that’s what brings me here to Waggener Edstrom today.
