Shouldn’t this be on tdwang.com/blog?

How cool would that be for T.D. Wang to one day expand to specialize in other multicultural communities?

TDW: Rubi || Hispanic communities
TDW: Gold || African-American communities

and, of course, back to its Asian roots:
TDW: Core

Yay to the joys of constant rebranding. Efficient though? Probably not. Hah.

The simple life

Is it better to live a simple life and be complacent? Money is insignificant. What other people think is insignificant. I’m looking at some friends’ pictures on Facebook. They’re just living it up, caring less about their jobs. I wonder what it’d be like to be a farmer or …whatever else is out there.

Or is it better to have lived and learned as much as you could. To see the world, yearn for more, but be a slave to your desires? I think this is me. Pitiful or, in fact, what others want?

Never let you borrow

Live and learn. I will never let him borrow any of my shii ever again.

Try to ignore me and put me on low-priority. I saw you sign on Facebook after I messaged you, bitch! Haha

I’m tired of me putting out respect and getting none of it back.

The Ad Jab

I’m getting a raise and an opportunity to gain my weekends back. I should be happier, but what I’m fearing the most is commitment.

I don’t need insurance. Can I get more pay? And am I contracted for a year? Or until the end of the year w/ reevaluation? I don’t want to give up my aspirations in L.A. and New York. But those aren’t certain, and this is guaranteed in the moment. But, really, how much potential for growth is their? Once again I’m at a threshold, and the only one who can resolve this is me. Too much inflection. I need a jog.

Damn HK, I hate to admit

I see hair trends are heading more toward Hong Kong…….!! It’s all about shaved sides, short backs (discard your Asia mullets), and long length in the right places whether you wear it up or down. Basically, a cheap and definable way to look real modern while still being down-to-earth.

You should disregard the crazy FOB attire, but apply the hair to genuine looks. This is what you get:

Donatella

Donatella Versace says that she hates the question, “What was your inspiration?”

Real creative people are inspired by anything and everything, at the most unexpected times.
To encase inspiration into a one-sentence response is to kill the concept itself.

Career fair quote of the day:

Guy walks up to lone girl recruiter.

“Didn’t I see you at the club?”

“…hello to you too…”

Sui bian

If employers you just interviewed with don’t contact you within 1/4 the time of when they told you they would, then you pretty much know you didn’t get the job. You’ve been slotted onto their low-priority list to contact.

I think there’s always next time. And another industry. I’m not as phased as I thought I would be…guess I’m seasoned to rejection in this marketing world now and don’t take anything personally. I’ll just think of three good things about the situation:

1: It’s a bright, sunny day, and I’m about to go to the beach.
2: This means I can still go to New York in November.
3: I won’t have to have an awkward conversation with Tim about this.

4: I can still apply to advertising jobs in LA and NYC.
5: Got great interview practice in a short period of time.
6: Got hyped up to see a big, corporate office.
7: I know that I’m qualified to interview in the upper echelon now.
