Um…I told myself that I’d do a lot more academic related things today.
Instead I just watched a bunch of movies and tv shows. CRAP!!!

At least I read 50 pages of my war novel, J. Glenn Gray’s The Warriors. I was actually in the reading mood, but unfortunately my apartment is not a conducive environment for learning by any means.

Hence forth: library only. I actually haven’t paid a visit to my secret study spot this quarter. It’s long overdue for use, and in fact, I’ll make that stop tomorrow.

Back to Vegas: March 19

Yesterday I achieved one of my long time goals:
I got to see Passion live in concert!

After all these years of being a fan, I finally got to see him perform live, and it was pretty sweet. The show was soulful, the crowd was fun, I got to sit at the foot of the stage and filmed a few videos. It was also incredibly more sold out than I would have ever imagined. I knew that he was growing in popularity, but I never knew by how much. Good though. I ended up buying a CD and got him to sign it. Overall, a really memorable night. I feel so accomplished and refreshed, being able to enjoy a performance like that with such positive energy. Not to mention I finally got a break from the regular old crowd and got reintroduced to something more familiar and a bit missed with the Vegas life. Rejuvenating and inspiring: Those are the words that described that night.

Seems like I’ve become addicted to traveling abroad, but I feel that I should capitalize on my ability to do so while I still have the chance in college. My life will be consumed by my career in the next few years so I’ll have to enjoy the time I have left…sigh. How moderately cynical.

Here are my early tentative summer plans:

Today was a nippy, sunny day.

In comparison to my weekend, I accomplished almost nothing academic. However, when I was frisbizing with my mates on the HUB lawn, a hippie man approached and started giving us lessons in frisbee throwing techniques. Suffice it to say, I have learned how to throw one like a tomahawk. In addition, I’ve been working on perfecting the underhand and, furthermore, learned to step out with my dominant foot when throwing. The whole process of becoming an ultimate frisbee champion is coming along smoothly, more than ever before. That’s worth celebrating at the very least. Afterward, this hippie character told us he had to go off into the woods because it was 4:20. He offered us a chance to join him and enter his magical realm above the clouds. Regretfully, we declined, although the mere invitation was flattering enough.

Definitely – this was the highlight of my day.

I can’t believe what I got myself into with this project. This is so overwhelming, I can’t stand it. ~ Been working on it all night thus far, and I have a headache from it already. I’ll be focusing on this all weekend, but I’m actually willing to sacrifice it in hopes of gaining a feeling of accomplishment afterward.

But here’s something to look forward to: PASSION COMES TO SEATTLE > MARCH 1!!!
I’m definitely going to go out of my way to see that show. I can’t wait…
I just hope I didn’t jinx myself with all the anticipation.

President’s Day Weekend:
Long and academically unproductive. On Friday, I went to the dragshow to show support for the student commissions. I really hope I won’t have to do this next year if I become the ASC Director…haha.

Saturday was the JSA Matsuri, and I have to admit that I was surprisingly impressed. The ambiance turned out well as well as the fashion show, although not exactly what I was expecting. This picture really doesn’t do the festival justice, but it shows that the indoor tents and streaming lamps were my idea. Hehehehe.

Overall it was a fun weekend, but I feel really guilty about having too much fun and not concentrating enough on school. I’m going to get my econ midterm back tomorrow, and I’m pretty sure that I bombed it considering I drew a dinosaur as one of the answers.

Another long and tiring week is ahead. I’d better go to sleep. G’nite
