Production

Someone has to make sure that print ads get printed, TV ads get shot, and Web sites get built–on time and on budget. That’s where the production and traffic departments come in. Producers deal with just about everyone in their agencies, as well as with many people outside of them, to ensure that the big idea behind a project is translated into something that the client will like. They work with outside vendors such as printers and recording studios to assemble the finished product–whether it’s a magazine ad, billboard, radio spot, TV commercial or specially designed giveaway items for a viral event. Once the final product is in hand, traffic makes sure that it is distributed, seen or heard. These are the folks who ultimately get things done, no matter what it takes. And what it takes may vary from project to project, or even hour to hour. Learn more about advertising careers at www.adunity.aaaa.org.

I have to get back in the habit of blogging every day to exercise my writing ability. Who taught me that creativity is like a rubber band that needs to be stretched? I forgot, but that is the mentality that I will have to readopt and play into my every day life now in order to succeed in the career path that I have chosen. In actuality, I hope that my rubber band won’t snap – that would suck.

This entry is going to be random as usual as I do not have anything in particular to discuss. I am just letting things flow off my mind like mental vomit. I am just trying to, yep, reestablish that blogging every day habit.

Actually! I was going through some of my old websites to add them to my portfolio when I came across some extremely old blog entries from 2003. I can hardly believe that I have been keeping the ‘crabinfested’ title alive since 1999. The name sprang from a classroom argument with two of my friends at the time. Emiliano Erlich was his name, and back then, he was extremely volatile and sought to tick everybody off just for fun. He ended up poking insults at this girl named Elisha and she ended up calling him a, “CRAB INFESTED BIATCH!!!” Hahaha. Good times. I could not stop laughing at the thought of such a random conjunction of words that I had to apply it to a new website that I was making. At the time, I did not yet realize the link between crabs and genital infections – so if I had known that – perhaps I would have reconsidered. ~ Ah well! All in all, twas the birth of ‘crabinfested’ as well as my perpetual blogging.

Today, you can still access it at http://crabinfested.cjb.net, but it will just redirect you to my professional website which can also be accessed here: http://www.wix.com/pboupha/pboupha. Although life changes and the site no longer has any blog entries on it, I never plan on closing the site down and will keep it alive for tradition and nostalgia sake. If you ever lose touch with me, search out something crabinfested and we will be able to reconnect. REMEMBER THAT! At least until after 2012 when the world ends, but that is another entry entirely.

Today I went Downtown to get my watch fixed, and as I exited the Westlake tunnel I saw JR Celski and Roberto Carcelen!!! Girlish scream — I took pics. They actually look more normal in person, less Herculean as Olympians are imagined to be.

Is it shallow of me to want to reach 1,000 friends on FB?
– don’t think it’s gonna happen though since I’m out of school.
Haha. Dreams, dreams. Let’s accomplish the small goals first THEN get a job.

I apply so much but applying merits no praise until you’ve finally landed that dream position. I reiterate ‘dream position’ because I do not intend to merely settle on anymore. Yuen Lui ~ adieu.
